A floral bouquet of lavender and violet with lots of cherry and caramel on the palate. A good structure to the wine with great balance and finish. Excellent with friends on a Friday night, charcuterie boards and cheese sharing platters, all pizzas but especially with truffle and Gorgonzola. Best served at room temperature.

Varieties: 80% Sangiovese, 20% Pinot Nero

Appellation: Toscana DOCG

Aged: 12 months in wood (French oak/medium roast; from 3-5 years old)

Flavour profile: dry, medium-bodied

Colour: intense ruby red with violet

Smell: Cherry, lavender, violets, subtle, floral scent, subtle minerality with chalk and caramel

Taste: good structure, fruit forward with good balance and finish
