Afamily run winery with history and a passion for beautiful wines

Sicily, island of culture and history, where work and sweat of people turn into nourishment for a soil always rich of products and much quality, where wine, thanks to the passion and devotion of all those which believe in the excellent goodness of an output, identifies more and more the territorial belongings.

To the slopes of the archaeological area of Monte Jato, about 30 km from Palermo, in a very rich soil, in a land full of history and traditions, the Wine Cellar “Don Tomasi”, was born in 2004 thanks to the entrepreneurship but especially to the great tie with the own region of the growers: Giuseppe TERRASI and associates.

The knowledge of having to offer an high quality product to a so demanding market, has rendered the engagement of the Owner more and more tenacious and vital: passion and devotion are the main features. The key has been to identify in a clear way the balance between quality of output, integrated marketing and enterprise dynamism.

The Farm lies to an average altitude of 350 meters over the sea level, whose vineyards are raise to espalier with a density of 4000-5000 plants for hectare.

The sandy soil is mean blending. The vineyards, precisely overseen by specialists, are cultivated with bio-compatible methods. The grape picked is handled manually and located in plastic crates. The wine cellar, whose capacity is 2.500 hl, is equipped with the most advanced technologies for wine-making, bringing to a head and aging of wine: lungs press, Allier wood barrels, up to date bottling-machines.

All methods, studied and overseen in each steps, make an excellent quality of the end product, ready for an high level market. The target is a consumer of a great expectations and competence.
